Ken Hechler does more than anyone realizes, including me. This week he is touring with Prof. Robert Watson of Lynn University, visiting his classes and community groups. In July, Ken will be spending a week at the Chautauqua Center outside Jamestown, New York, talking about interviewing many subjects including President Truman, etc.

He will also be talking about the Nazis after WWII (he was one of the first Allied officers to interview them, writing a book on the subject, “The Enemy Side of the Hill: The 1945 Background on Interrogation of German Commanders”, published by the Historical Division, SSUSA 30 on July 1949. ( It is included in a comprehensive series of volumes by South Illinois University Professor  Donald Detwiler called “World War II German Military Studies,” Donald S. Detwiler, editor, Charles B. Burdick and Juergen Rohwer, associate editors, 24 vols., 1979.
