River Cities Film Series Patrons:The River Cities Film Series is going on hiatus for 2010. The series has had a great run over the past ten years, but in 2009, attendance and donations were down. Additionally, one of our primary suppliers, New Yorker Films, when out of business in February. At the same time, access to a wide variety of films at home through services like Netflix and online downloads has increased the overall availability of foreign and independent films. Both Washington State Community College and Marietta College are considering new options for bringing films to our community. For example, Washington State is discussing including films as part of the Evergreen Humanities Series in 2011.We thank all of our patrons for your support over the past ten years. In particular, we thank Dr. Zane Lazer and Eye Care Associates for his steadfast leadership and the firm’s generous financial support.Watch your email for more information. In 2011, we hope to again be offering fine films to the Mid-Ohio Valley in some format.Mark NutterWashington State Community College
