Mari-Lynn Evans produced the landmark PBS series, “The Appalachians.”(2005)  After several years of hard work, she and Phyllis Geller, the director “The Appalachians,” will release their new film, “Coal Country.” They have been traveling the byways and highways of WV and Appalachia, exploring what coal means in our current energy condition. They also explore what it means to have millions of pounds of explosives being used DAILY to extract coal from nearby farms. Both films have been produced by The Sierra Club. There will also be a book and CD released. Watch the media for announcements on when and where “Coal Country” will be shown.
