The International Documentary Association, based in California, has posted the results of its annual survey of members about “top docs.” There are actually three WV-linked films, ” Born Into Brothels” being the third. The producer of the film is from Parkersburg. Congrats to WV native Morgan Spurlock, director of “Super Size Me,” and former University of Charleston (Morris Harvey College) student Barbara Kopple, director of “Harlan County, USA,” (and Ravenswood based film, “Locked Out in America” and UMWA history, “Out of Darkness”).
