Many times books have a very low resale value, but poetry prices skyrocket sometimes without the poets knowing much about it.

For example, how about two books I happen to be familiar with? They were published years ago and are picking up value in the stacks available from miscellaneous booksellers.

“Many Waters: Poems from West Virginia” by Llewellyn McKernan is priced from two different online booksellers at just over $178.00. She would, perhaps, be surprised.

A used copy of Winston Fuller‘s “Twelve Poems” is going for 55 pounds from amazon.co.uk.  Alibris.com has a copy priced $87, and $125 from two different booksellers in California. I consider my copy to be priceless, not for sale at any price.
