About 92 percent. The Conference USA Board of Directors (presidents) are taking up the matter this week. You don’t get the presidents involved if you don’t have most of your ducks in a row to begin with.

And yes, I heard again this week that the process is well, well down the road. Logistics in converting the current TV contracts with the two leagues seems to be the stumbling point, along with the TV revenue issue. If they handle it right, the travel bill will not go up as dramatically as you think.

Start saving your pennies now for a conference basketball tournament in Vegas.

You know the deal … If increase in TV bucks > increase in travel expenses, it’s a winning move.

Now, if you want to reduce travel costs for fans, then applying for a move back to the MAC is the option. Oh, wait: Herd fans wanted out of the MAC. For good reason.

We need to ask the ACC for membership (not that we’d get invited, but…). This is going to get ridiculous with the travel expenses, for the school and for fans.

Do that and it’s a 7-1 finish, including wins against Memphis and Southern Miss. That would be *phenomenal*, and would make Marshall 21-9, 12-4 entering the C-USA tournament.

Individually, all 8 games are winnable. As a whole, it’s a tall order, but what the heck — MU has played well in February. Saddle ‘em up.

The MU-Tulsa game is huge for the Herd. We need to hold serve at home and beat the lower ranked teams on the road. We then need to at least split road games with Tulsa and UCF.
